Programming and Operation, DAG Notes, April 2nd

Programming & Operations, April 2nd

Dance:
•    Excited about Badger Hall as an ideal space for larger social dances but concerned there is not enough smaller meeting space, which are currently used heavily
•    Most social dances are on weekends, often at Union South because Memorial Union is typically booked
•    Wood is most comfortable floor material but harder surfaces are sufficient for shorter events; carpet is undesirable
•    Curved spaces are not ideal
•    The current number of rooms seems small; the issue is not total square footage but how many things can be going on at once
•    The new building will be a real shame if it ends up being less useful
